Recently, some companies consulted us, asking whether Masterial Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Safety Label shall be prepared or validated by Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, or by companies designated by these Bureaus.

According to relavant China regulations and standard, chemical companies are responsible for providing MSDS and Safety Labels in compliance with China standards. No China governmental bureaus ever force companies to get the prepared MSDS and Safety Labels validated by them, or designate a certain companies to prepare MSDS and Safety Labels for chemical companies.

This has been clarified by China GAQSIQ and Shanghai local SIQ burea, etc.. If chemical companies encounter such requests, the company can complain to SIQ hotline 12365 --- such requirements are difinately raised by some person in the name of SIQ bureaus.

Surely, preparation of MSDS and Safety Label require specific knowledges and skills, and the prepared MSDS and Safety Label shall meet the requirment of China standards and of latest GHS. If chemical companies have no the ability to prepare by themselves, they have the freedom to choose any 3^rd party to help.
