The upper level law on New Chemical Substance Management in Taiwan ---- ‘Occupational Health Safety Act’ (revision of previous 'Labor Safety and Health Act') was signed and enacted on July 3rd, 2013. Its effective date will be determined by the Legislative Yuan.

The implementation of the new Act will involve revison of upto 58 supporting regulations (28 will need notable amendments, 30 will need supporting amendments). The target is to complete the revisions within 1 year.

So, the actual implemtnation in Taiwan on New Chemical Substance Manament is expected in middle of 2014.
