'The Guielines for the Testing of Chemicals' which is a basis for chemical testing for New Chemical Substance registration in China was firstly issued in 2004 (2004 version), with 101 test methods an around 112 million words.
The Guidelines have just been revised. The Revised Guidelines amended 34 guidelines of the 101 guidelines in the 2004 version, added further more 68 guidelines that are widelily used in the world and 17 guidelines for physi-chemical property test in compliance with GHS classification.
The Revised Guidelines are are very close of OECD Guidelines. The differences include: some guidelines in the 2004 version are still included in the Revied Guidelines, even some of them are already void in current OECD Guidelines, which is due to succession consideration with 2004 version and actual situation of China labs. Several non-OECD guidelines are included.
The Guidelines are included in 4 books, with 186 test methods and around 275 million words. The books can be purchased at China local 'Xinhua Bookstores' or from China Environmental Press (Tel.: 010—67112738; Fax: 010—67111484) at the price around 80 USD. Surely, only Chinese version available.
