This list of Toxic Chemical Severely Restricted for import and export in China (2014 version) was published by Ministry of Environment Protection(MEP) and General Administration of Customs(GAC) jointly on Dec. 30th of 2013, and took effect as of Jan. 1, 2014.

Comparing to the the 2012 version list, four new type Toxic Chemicals are added on the list, which include Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, perfluorooctane sulfonate, potassium perfluorooctane sulfonate, lithium perfluorooctane sulfonate, perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride; Diethanolamine perfluorooctane sulfonate; Tetraethylammonium perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, perfluorooctane sulfonic acid bis-decyl dimethyl ammonium; and N-ethyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide, N-methyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide, N-ethyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl) perfluorooctane sulfonamide, N-(2-hydroxyethyl acetatenyl)-N-methyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide. In addition, 30 toxic chemical substances' HS codes are adjusted.

Export or import toxic chemicals listed in the Catalogue, shall obtain Export/Import Certificate and Customs Release Notice from Ministry of Environmental Protection.

Application for the import/export approval of toxic chemicals will take several months' time, so if any of your products contains any of the newly added toxic chemicals as listed above, you are suggested to pay attention to this, and take measures immediately.
